An Air Conditioner is a system used to cool down the inside of a room, home, or building by removing the heat from that space and moving it outside. Ventilation allows for cool air to be moved throughout the inside area.

During the process of air conditioning a room, home, or building a substance known as a refrigerant is used to cool the area. The cold liquid refrigerant absorbs the heat from the room in the evaporator and cools down the room. It then quickly changes phase to gas and goes through a compressor to increase temperature. Lastly, it will pass through the condenser coils to transfer heat from the refrigerant to the outside air. The refrigerant follows a repetitive cycle of expanding to decrease its pressure and cool down to below the room’s temperature.
